Germany coach Joachim Low: 'Too many silly mistakes against Brazil'

Joachim Low:
Germany head coach Joachim Low claims that his team made "too many silly mistakes", but will learn from their defeat to Brazil.

Germany coach Joachim Low has claimed that his team made "too many silly mistakes" in their friendly defeat to Brazil in Berlin on Tuesday night.

Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus ended Germany's 22-game unbeaten run by scoring the only goal in the win for Brazil.

Low fielded a young side for the international fixture, and the World Cup-winning coach feels that they will learn from the loss.

"It was to be expected that Brazil would be highly motivated from the start. It wasn't our day," the manager told the German Football Association's website. "We made lots of changes, you could see that. We made too many silly mistakes that made it easy for Brazil.

"We had a few young players on the pitch today. They got some experience and will learn from this. Overall, the mistakes added up. Everyone can obviously play better."

Germany's opening group game at the World Cup in Russia will be against Mexico in June.
