The loss to Everton in the past Merseyside derby saw a lot of criticism of Liverpool's performance. The squad has fallen short of winning the much-needed games down the stretch, and Georginio Wijnaldum is really having a tough time with the Reds' pace in the 2020-21 run.

For the first time since December 1923, Liverpool have dropped their fourth straight game. The Reds, who were also defending their title during that time, are in a very tough spot after that loss.

There were doubts about Liverpool's chances, and people would bet on soccer live odds of a team that could win games instead of a struggling champion.

They quickly dropped to a 11-7-7 record with 40 points after that loss. Since coach Jurgen Klopp claimed that the team's chances of getting back into the top spot were damaged, it means that they are falling short of winning the league title.

The third minute saw a goal from Richarlison. Everton mustered a quick offence and attacked many times, and they outwitted the Reds for the rest of the match. Gylfi Sigurdsson landed a goal from the penalty spot to cap off the win for Everton.

Liverpool know that they have blown so many chances to claim three big points and get back to the top. Challenging Manchester City will surely be harder than ever.

Gini believes that the Reds still have what it takes to come back stronger. Losing four straight matches is a challenge, but the star looks at it as if it is only a temporary setback to what could be one of the best comebacks in history.

"We're in a period where we create a lot of chances but don't score the goal. It's frustrating when you're on the pitch," Gini said. "But we just should keep the confidence and just do what we're doing right now because one time it will turn and we will score the goals again."

Liverpool's poor stretch in the loss to Everton began with skipper Jordan Henderson's injury, heralding difficulties for the Reds in the next few minutes and their morale was pulled down and crushed to bits.

However, Gini thinks that they cannot let the injury to Henderson be the reason why they will fall down in the 2020-21 season. After all, Liverpool failed to respond when it mattered the most, and they had to stop the bleeding right away.

"You don't want to feel sorry for yourself," said the midfielder. "You just want to deal with the situation and try to bring it to a better end, or a good end, even if you know that you have a lot of injuries."

Perhaps finding a better pace in their games could help Liverpool become an even better squad in the long run. After all, they have been battling hard on both ends of the European contests and the Premier League. This says a lot about their grit and tenacity to win games.

While their title hopes are already gone, fans can still expect the Reds to play hard and prove that they can still win even without their core players. Liverpool won the 2020 title without much hassle and are eager to show they can pull off a comeback from their injuries and other struggles on the pitch.

Liverpool have been riding a hot streak in their games once more. They have won three straight games and are now favourites to bet on soccer live odds as they hope to win more games down the stretch.

With the league season still ongoing, Liverpool's chances of getting back into the top spot are still alive. Gini remains confident that they can secure a stronger pace and hopefully get back to their old form.
