Crawley Town announce that manager Mark Yates has left his role at the League Two club.

League Two club Crawley Town have announced that they have parted company with manager Mark Yates.

The Red Devils currently sit in 18th position in the standings and after six successive defeats, the board have decided to make a change with both Yates and assistant Jimmy Dack leaving the club.

A club statement read: "The club would like to announce the departure of manager Mark Yates and assistant manager Jimmy Dack with immediate effect.

"Firstly, we would like to thank Mark and Jimmy for the job they have done this season. Mark and Jimmy have worked hard for the club. However, the recent form and performance of the team suggests change is needed. We wish Mark and Jimmy the best of luck in their future challenges.

"The board will be interviewing potential candidates in the next few days to make the right appointment to move the club forward. The days and weeks ahead will determine the right path for the club."

Yates was appointed as manager at the end of last season but he has guided the club to just 13 wins from 47 fixtures in all competitions.
