Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte acknowledges that Tammy Abraham's loan spell at Swansea City has been "very important for his development".

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has suggested that he has been pleased with the amount of game-time given to Tammy Abraham at Swansea City.

Before the start of the season, Chelsea allowed Abraham to pen a year-long loan deal with Swansea, and the forward has gone on to net five times in 15 starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Premier League.

Abraham has also made his debut for England, and Conte has indicated that the 20-year-old could have an important part to play for the Blues in the future.

At a press conference, the 48-year-old told reporters: "This is an important experience for Tammy. I think for him this season is very important for his development. He's playing, not with regularity but he's playing.

"I think this is right for his experience, to improve his experience and confidence. Then we'll see for the future, what will happen. For sure, Tammy is a Chelsea player and it will be an important player for the future."

Abraham has only made two substitute outings for the West Londoners, both of which came in May 2016.
