Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Bayern Munich

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the first leg of the Champions League last-16 tie between Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

Chelsea play host to Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday evening.

Having finished second to Valencia in a group which also contained Ajax and Lille, the Blues must play the opening 90 minutes of the double-header at Stamford Bridge.

However, Frank Lampard's side prepared for the showdown against the Bundesliga giants with a morale-boosting 2-1 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash in West London.

Christian Pulisic

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Adductor
Possible return date: February 25 (vs. Bayern)

Although Pulisic was initially due to return after the winter break, Lampard revealed last week that the winger was still out of contention. As it stands, it appears highly unlikely that the American will play any part of Tuesday's game.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 29 (vs. Bournemouth)

Hudson-Odoi has missed out on the last two matches due to a hamstring injury sustained in training. The academy graduate may have to wait until next week before coming back into contention.

N'Golo Kante

Status: Out
Type of injury: Adductor
Possible return date: March 14 (vs. Aston Villa)

After Kante was withdrawn during the early stages against Manchester United, Lampard revealed that the midfielder had sustained an adductor injury, an issue which is likely to keep the Frenchman out for three weeks.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no players who are suspended for this fixture.
