Western Sydney Warriors have to settle for a 0-0 draw in a one-sided match against Central Coast Mariners and remain winless in the A-League this season.

Western Sydney Warriors are still looking for their first win of the A-League season after being forced to settle for a 0-0 draw with Central Coast Mariners.

Tony Popovic's side remain bottom of the table on two points, but do have a game in hand due to their involvement in the Asian Champions League last month.

The hosts nearly snatched the lead prior to the break at the Pirtek Stadium as Tomi Juric forced a good save out of Liam Reddy at the end of an otherwise uneventful first half.

There were chances aplenty in the second as Matthew Sim and Nicholas Fitzgerald went close for the Mariners, who have only scored four goals in their six games this term.

Sydney also threatened as Iacopo La Rocca headed straight at Reddy from a good position, and then nodded over the crossbar moments later as the Warriors continued to push for a winner.

Reddy saved well from Vitor Saba's low shot, while the same player went close from a free kick. Juric and Shannon Cole also struck narrowly wide from inside the box as Sydney had to be content with a point.
