Serie A's bottom side Carpi re-appoint Fabrizio Castori as their head coach five weeks after replacing him with former Watford boss Giuseppe Sannino.

Serie A strugglers Carpi have re-appointed Fabrizio Castori as their head coach five weeks after relieving him of his duties.

The Modena-based club, who are in the Italian top flight for the first time this year, replaced Castori with former Watford head coach Giuseppe Sannino in September, but the Biancorossi have managed just four points from five matches since.

They are bottom of the table, four points from safety, after 11 games of the season with only six points to their name.

Castori's first match back in charge of Carpi, whom he led to promotion from Serie B last term, will be away at Sassuolo on Sunday.
