Carlisle manager Keith Curle insists that the club will do everything in their power to identify those responsible for alleged racist abuse towards Everton players.

Carlisle United manager Keith Curle has condemned those responsible for alleged racist abuse during the FA Cup clash with Everton at Brunton Park this afternoon.

Police are investigating an incident which occurred in the wake of the Toffees' opening goal in their 3-0 win, scored by Arouna Kone after less than two minutes.

Curle and his Everton counterpart Roberto Martinez agreed to put out an announcement over the public address system warning that such behaviour will not be tolerated, and Curle also confirmed that the club will be doing everything they can to identify those responsible.

"It is not what we want inside Brunton Park, inside football, or inside society," he told reporters.

"The club will make all efforts. I know there was a steward in the terraces and CCTV as well. We will do everything we can to identify who it was and make sure the relevant penalties and punishments will be adhered to.

"I didn't hear it myself, but what I would say to any supporters who were next to people and heard people - please step forward and identify them, because it is not accepted."

Carlisle became the final League Two side to be knocked out of the FA Cup this season, with Aaron Lennon and Ross Barkley adding to Kone's opener.
