Burnley striker Andre Gray says that he has achieved a "dream" by scoring his first Premier League hat-trick.

Burnley striker Andre Gray has said that he has achieved a 'dream' by scoring a hat-trick for his side in their 4-1 win over struggling Sunderland at Turf Moor this afternoon.

The 25-year-old, who served a four-match ban earlier this season for homophobic tweets, struck on the half-hour mark then twice again in the space of three second-half minutes to help his side move to 11th in the table.

"It has been a stop-start season for me, luckily I have managed to get a run of games and score some goals," he told reporters afterwards.

"Not many teams play with two up front, we do it and did it quite well. It was a big game, but nothing is over with.

"My first Premier League hat-trick is something I have dreamed of."

Next up for Sean Dyche's men is a tricky trip to title contenders Manchester City on Monday.
