How Brazil could line up against Venezuela

Ahead of Brazil's Copa America clash with Venezuela in Salvador, Sports Mole looks at how the tournament hosts could line up.

Brazil will be aiming to make it two wins from two in Group A as their Copa America campaign continues with a clash against Venezuela in Salvador.

The tournament hosts saw off Bolivia 3-0 in their opening match thanks to a penalty and a deft header from Philippe Coutinho early in the second half, followed up with a late strike from substitute Everton.

Tite's men can now potentially seal their place in the knockout stages with victory over Venezuela, who played out a goalless draw with Peru on Saturday.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Selecao could line up against Venezuela.

Possible BRA XI vs. VEN

Brazil are without Neymar for the duration of the tournament on home soil, but Coutinho stepped up when needed last week.

The Barcelona midfielder was the Brazilian player with the most shots attempted (five), chances created (four) and tackles completed (seven), meaning that he should be the first name on the team sheet here.

Richarlison and David Neres may also have done enough to retain their places either side of Coutinho, despite Everton's goalscoring appearance from the bench against Bolivia.

There may be a change through the middle, however, as Roberto Firmino is coming off the back of a gruelling club campaign that only ended two weeks ago, opening the door for Gabriel Jesus - boasting superb form ahead of the tournament - to return.

Elsewhere, Tite surprisingly used Fernandinho and Casemiro in holding midfield against Bolivia and he may stick with that combination on Wednesday.
