Callum Wilson comes in for Benik Afobe in Bournemouth's only change for the meeting with Southampton at the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has brought Callum Wilson in for Benik Afobe in the only change to his starting lineup for this afternoon's south coast derby meeting with Southampton at the Vitality Stadium.

The 24-year-old has been cleared of concussion after sustaining a head injury against Leicester City last time out, taking a place up top just off Joshua King in the Cherries' attack.

Bournemouth, whose 2-0 win over the Saints in March was their first in this fixture since 1958, had also been sweating over the fitness of ankle injury victim Ryan Fraser, who is deemed fit enough for a place among the subs.

Visitors Southampton have handed a first Premier League start of the season to Harrison Reed, meanwhile, three days after he committed his future to the club by signing a new long-term deal.

Cedric Soares also returns after missing the last two games through illness, but Oriol Romeu misses his first league match of the campaign through suspension.

The Saints, currently level on points with their neighbours in ninth place, have won just one of their last eight away league games.

Bournemouth: Boruc, Cook, Daniels, Ake, Francis, Pugh, King, Smith, Arter, Wilshere, Wilson
Subs: Federici, Mings, Smith, Gosling, Ibe, Fraser, Afobe

Southampton: Forster, Cedric, Yoshida, Van Dijk, Bertrand, Clasie, Hojbjerg, Reed, Boufal, Rodriguez, Redmond
Subs: Taylor, Fonte, Long, Davis, Tadic, Martina, Ward-Prowse
