Stuart Holden's return from injury will "boost" Bolton Wanderers, according to manager Owen Coyle.

Owen Coyle believes that his Bolton Wanderers side will receive a "boost" from Stuart Holden's return from injury.

The American international recently went back to the States to step up his recovery from a knee injury.

Coyle has insisted that the 26-year-old will have a positive influence on his teammates.

"Stuart has been working hard with the US national team and, with long-term injuries, it's important players can work within the comforts of their family support," told The Sun.

"It can be a lonely road with long-term injuries. He's a character, everyone likes him and it will be a boost for the lads."

Holden has made just one appearance this season.
