Basement outfit Real Betis welcomed top-four hopefuls Athletic Bilbao to Seville on Sunday afternoon.
The visitors led 1-0 at the interval courtesy of a penalty from Iker Muniain, while Betis finished the first half with 10 men after Damien Perquis received two bookings in quick succession.
Betis were down to nine men just before the hour mark when Lolo Reyes was handed his second yellow card for handball.
It got worse for the home side late on when Guillermo headed home from close range to secure all the points for Bilbao.
