Benfica welcomed Fenerbahce in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final on Thursday needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg.
The Portuguese outfit had the lead in the early stages courtesy of Nicolas Gaitan, but a Dirk Kuyt penalty levelled on the night after 23 minutes.
Benfica regained the lead 10 minutes before the break, however, when Oscar Cardozo turned in the box before stroking an effort into the bottom corner.
The home side continued to press in the second period and they had their third after 66 minutes when Cardozo added his second of the night from close range.
Both sides had half-chances in the latter stages, but Fenerbahce could not add to their tally as the Portuguese outfit booked their spot in the final, where they will face Chelsea.
