Luis Enrique: 'Big wins not always possible'

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique says that 'big wins are not always possible' after his team recorded a 1-0 victory over Granada on Saturday night.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has insisted that he was "happy with three points" in Saturday's 1-0 win over Granada, despite an underwhelming performance from the Spanish champions.

The Catalan giants were expected to run riot against basement club Granada, but one goal decided the match - Rafinha netting early in the second period as Barcelona moved into second spot in La Liga.

Enrique has admitted that the hosts "lacked freshness", but was pleased to see his team 'win ugly' ahead of next week's Champions League group match away to Manchester City.

"We lacked freshness but it is always difficult to beat a team with 10 players behind the ball. [Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre] Ter Stegen has not participated in the game but at 1-0 the match is open," Enrique told reporters.

"I am happy with the three points. We are going in the right direction in La Liga and in the Champions League but with the idea of improving.

"I will stick with the point, even though it was not our best day. I have seen a team with enough attitude to quickly retrieve the ball and one mature enough to close the match defensively. I would have liked to win by a landslide but you cannot make that happen in all games."

Barcelona have won seven of their 10 league matches this season.
