Barcelona met Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande at the Nissan Stadium in the second semi-final of the Club World Cup on Thursday.
The Spanish giants entered the interval with a 1-0 lead courtesy of a 39th-minute strike from Luis Suarez.
Suarez then doubled his tally early in the second period to put Barcelona in a comfortable position in Japan, before the striker completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot in the 67th minute.
Barcelona will face Argentine outfit River Plate in the final on Sunday.
