Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo says that he is not concerned by reports linking Diego Simeone with a move away from the Vicente Calderon.

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has insisted that he is not concerned by reports linking Diego Simeone with a move away from the Vicente Calderon this summer.

After the 2016 Champions League final, which Atletico lost on penalties to Real Madrid, Simeone admitted that he needed time to consider his future after losing a second European Cup final in three seasons.

Cerezo, however, has moved to deny reports that the Argentine could seek pastures new.

"Fans can sleep easy because he is contracted here for four more years," Cerezo told Marca.

Simeone, 46, took control of Atletico in 2011 and has won five major trophies during his time at the Vicente Calderon.
