La Liga rivals Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla went head-to-head at San Mames on Thursday night in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final.
Both teams had opportunities in the first period, but neither could make the breakthrough in the opening half of action.
Aritz Aduriz sent Bilbao ahead in the 48th minute with a close-range header, but their lead lasted just eight minutes, with Timothee Kolodziejczak levelling for the holders.
Sevilla then found a second in the 83rd minute when Vicente Iborra converted from a Kevin Gameiro pass.
