Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger reiterates that Alexis Sanchez is not for sale this summer despite ongoing speculation over his future.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reiterated that Alexis Sanchez is not for sale this summer.

The Chilean has just one year remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium and is reportedly keen to leave the club in order to play Champions League football next season.

Manchester City remain the frontrunners for his signature, but Wenger has once again insisted that the 28-year-old will not be leaving North London.

"He is focused. My decision is clear, he will stay. He will accept that. The frame of mind of a footballer is quite easy - once you go out into the game, you focus on that," he told reporters.

"[He is] good, you can see it in training. He needs to work on his fitness but he is sharp and looks like he has never been away. I think he will be here for this season. If we manage to do it for more seasons we will."

Arsenal have reportedly offered Sanchez a new contract worth £290,000 a week.
