Tottenham Hotspur could move for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez this summer if Harry Kane leaves the club, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly attempt to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez this summer if Harry Kane leaves the club before the transfer deadline.

Kane continues to be linked with a big-money move to Manchester City, and the Premier League champions are expected to step up their pursuit of the England captain over the next week.

Martinez's future has also been the subject of much speculation, with Arsenal believed to have identified the Argentina international as a leading target in the final third of the field.

According to The Athletic, Tottenham could go head to head with their North London rivals for the 23-year-old's signature if Kane completes a switch to the Etihad Stadium.

Martinez only has two years left to run on his contract at San Siro, and Inter are believed to be open to a sale in the current market due to their financial problems.

The South American enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for the Italian champions, scoring 19 goals and registering 11 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions.
