Barcelona's Arda Turan is reportedly keen to remain at Camp Nou next season in order to win a starting berth in midfield, despite rumoured interest from elsewhere.

Arda Turan will turn down an approach from Arsenal in order to prove his worth to current side Barcelona, according to a report.

The Turkey international failed to make an impact during his first campaign at Camp Nou after joining from title rivals Atletico Madrid in a £25m deal.

Turan was restricted to just 13 starts, largely due to the Catalan giants' transfer embargo that saw him sit out the first half of the season, leading to talk that he could seek a move away this summer.

Borussia Dortmund, Fenerbahce, Manchester United and Arsenal are all said to be keeping tabs on Turan, with the latter in particular thought to be keen to push through a move.

It is claimed by The Sun that the 29-year-old has no intention of leaving Barcelona after just 12 months at the club, however, and he will instead battle to earn a more regular berth in midfield next season.

Turan was recently booed by supporters following Turkey's heavy defeat to Spain at Euro 2016.
