A report claims that Calum Chambers is wanted by Leicester City, who have had a second bid rejected for the Arsenal defender.

Leicester City have had a second bid of around £20m for defender Calum Chambers knocked back by Arsenal, according to a report.

The Foxes are said to have tabled their latest offer on Wednesday evening, falling short of the Gunners' £27m valuation.

Chambers has been told that he is free to leave the Emirates Stadium once his price tag is met, having last featured for the club in August 2016.

According to BBC Sport, Leicester recently joined Crystal Palace in showing an interest in the 24-year-old, but it is unknown whether they will return with a third and final bid on deadline day.

Palace were understood to be on the brink of completing a deal for Chambers earlier this summer, only for talks to break down at the last moment.
