A report claims that Arsenal are ready to test Brighton & Hove Albion's resolve by tabling an offer for defender Ben White now that England's Euro 2020 campaign is over.

Arsenal are reportedly ready to push ahead and get a deal over the line for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White now that Euro 2020 has concluded.

The 23-year-old may not have featured for finalists England at this summer's tournament, but speculation has persisted over a possible move to the Emirates Stadium.

As of last week, Arsenal are not thought to have made a concrete offer for the centre-back, who has previously spent a season on loan with Leeds United.

However, the Evening Standard suggests that the Gunners are now ready to test Brighton's resolve as White is no longer away on international duty with England.

The Poole native is said to be open to a move to North London and personal terms are not an issue, but Albion are holding out for around £50m for their prized asset, which could prove a stumbling block.

Arsenal have so far brought in left-back Nuno Tavares from Benfica for £7m ahead of the new season, while Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga is apparently close to joining.
