Arsenal interim boss Freddie Ljungberg had paid tribute to his players for responding from a goal behind to beat West Ham United on Monday.

The Gunners trailed at the break courtesy of a header from Angelo Ogbonna but scored three times in the space of nine second-half minutes to record their first Premier League win since the start of October.

Ljungberg was keen to credit the players for turning the game around, although the Swede insisted that the team still "have a lot of work to do".

"The players did amazingly, we had a gameplan, we wanted to move the ball a lot. The first half we were slow, lethargic, but that comes from players being low and having no confidence, it has been hard on the players," Ljungberg told reporters.

"The second half was amazing. West Ham started to get tired, we played some really good football, we kept the ball well, but we don't get carried away, we have a lot of work to do. All credit to the players."

Arsenal are next in Premier League action at home to Manchester City next weekend, although they first face a trip to Standard Liege in the Europa League on Thursday night.
