Jens Lehmann is one of a number of coaching staff members to be axed by Arsenal as part of manager Unai Emery's new-look setup.

Arsenal have confirmed Unai Emery's new-look backroom staff ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

The headline news is that Jens Lehmann will leave his position as first-team coach, as will Neil Banfield, Tony Colbert, Gerry Peyton and Boro Primorac.

Arsene Wenger's former right-hand man Steve Bould will remain in some capacity, meanwhile, with Juan Carlos Carcedo joining him in the dugout.

There is also a place among Emery's setup for Pablo Villanueva, while Julen Masach will join as a strength and conditioning coach, Javi Garcia as goalkeeping coach and Victor Manas as video analyst.

Emery has previously worked with all of those who have made the move over to London Colney for a new era at Arsenal.

Chief executive Ivan Gazidis told the club's official website: "All these people have played a huge part in the club's success and development over many years. We thank them for all their hard work and wish them all the best for the future.

"Unai has a very strong and talented team and I'm delighted that they are joining us. I'm also pleased that Steve Bould, [goalkeeping coach] Sal Bibbo and [director of high performance] Darren Burgess will continue their work with us.

"As we go through this period of change, we need to retain some continuity and they have an important role to play."

Arsenal have also confirmed that head of medical services Colin Lewin will step aside.
