Survivor renewed for remarkable 44th season

CBS renews long-running reality show Survivor for a further two seasons.

US network CBS has renewed Survivor for a further two seasons, keeping it on air until at least 2023.

The reality show debuted in 2000 and has been a bedrock of the CBS schedules ever since, with Jeff Probst serving as host for every episode since its inception.

In an announcement on Wednesday, CBS confirmed that the show will be back in the 2022-23 season for its 43rd and 44th iterations.

Probst said on Twitter: "We got the official greenlight for two more seasons. Survivor 43 and Survivor 44 coming your way soon!"

CBS also announced that fellow reality series The Amazing Race - on air since 2001 - will be back for a 34th season.
