Sky Sports announces the addition of Karen Carney and Michael Dawson to its punditry team for the 2021-22 season.

Former England winger Karen Carney and ex-Spurs stalwart Michael Dawson have been announced as new members of the Sky Sports football punditry team ahead of the new season.

Sky is planning a huge push of the Women's Super League in 2021-22, broadcasting more games live and giving them the equivalent, full studio treatment of the men's game.

Carney will become the lead pundit of the WSL team, with Caroline Barker becoming the lead presenter and Lynsey Hooper joining as WSL reporter.

Dawson, meanwhile, is joining the lineup of Soccer Saturday and will also work as a regular match analyst on Premier League and EFL coverage.

The new EFL season begins tomorrow night, with the Premier League following a week later and the WSL kicking off in September.
