ITV has given the go-ahead to a spinoff of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? for broadcast later this year.
Called Fastest Finger First, the new show will be based on the first round of the long-running quiz, where contestants must arrange four answers into a prescribed order in the quickest time possible.
News of the spinoff comes four years after Millionaire was successfully rebooted by ITV with Jeremy Clarkson taking over as host.
"This is a reflection of just how much of a triumph the reboot has been, because even the original Millionaire didn't spawn a spinoff show," a source told The Sun.
"And that was a phenomenon which was on our screens for a staggering 16 years under its former host, Chris Tarrant, before it was eventually axed in 2014.
"So this shows how much ITV believe the contest has captured the imagination of a whole new generation of viewers."
A host for Fastest Finger First has yet to be confirmed.
