Aaron Paul and Josh Hartnett are among the cast members on board for the new series of Netflix's Black Mirror.

Charlie Brooker's dark anthology series released its three-episode fifth season more than three years ago and production is now finally underway on an expanded sixth season.

According to Variety, the full cast list for those appearing in the first three episodes of season six also includes Zazie Beetz, Paapa Essiedu, Kate Mara, Danny Ramirez, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton and Anjana Vasan.

Breaking Bad star Paul has technically appeared in Black Mirror before, providing a vocal cameo at the end of the season four episode 'USS Callister' as the character Gamer691.

A release date for the new season has not yet been confirmed although with production now having started, it could arrive as soon as this Christmas.
