A lawyer for Ricky Martin has vehemently denied allegations that the singer engaged in a "sexual" relationship with his nephew.
Earlier this month the 50-year-old was accused of domestic violence by an unknown person, who has now been revealed to be Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, the 21-year-old son of his brother Eric Martin.
Ricky is accused of having a seven-month "intimate" relationship with Dennis - claims which he vehemently denies and have been described as "disgusting" by his lawyer Marty Singer.
"Unfortunately, the person who made this claim is struggling with deep mental health challenges," Singer told Deadline.
"Ricky Martin has, of course, never been - and would never be - involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew. The idea is not only untrue, it is disgusting."
He added: "We all hope that this man gets the help he so urgently needs. But, most of all, we look forward to this awful case being dismissed as soon as a judge gets to look at the facts."
The case will go to court in Puerto Rico on July 21, with Martin facing a 50-year sentence should he be found guilty.
