The American Music Awards are underway at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, with Taraji P Henson hosting in front of a limited audience.
The Weeknd and Roddy Ricch have the most nominations, with eight apiece; but in truth the ceremony is more about the performances than it is the awards.
The biggest names from the music world are due to take to the stage, with the likes of Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Katy Perry, Megan Thee Stallion, Nelly, Jennifer Lopez, Billie Eilish, BTS, Dua Lipa and Doja Cat all in line to perform.
