Temperatures at the Love Island villa could reach as high as 45C later this week amid a Spanish heatwave.
The country is already experiencing its hottest June in 20 years but the temperature is set to climb further as a heatwave spreads across Europe in the coming days.
In the UK, the temperature is expected to peak at 34C in parts of the South-East on Friday but in Majorca, where Love Island is filmed, the thermometer is predicted to go as high as 45C.
Producers will ensure that the Islanders are kept hydrated, apply sun protection and are provided with fans and air conditioning indoors to keep them safe from the heat, which can cause severe illness or death from prolonged exposure.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
