ITV announces another year of its overnight strand Unwind with ITV, which is designed to help viewers relax and destress.

ITV has announced that it has recommissioned its innovative overnight programming strand Unwind with ITV for another year.

The programming block airs at various times in the twilight hours across ITV's portfolio of channels every day of the year and is designed to help viewers relax and destress.

Unwind with ITV features ASMR animations, calming vistas set to relaxing music and readings of poetry and prose.

In a statement, the broadcaster said that the strand has proved a hit for new parents, overnight workers and insomnia sufferers, with an average of 1.5 million monthly viewers tuning in either live or on demand through the ITV Hub.

Adam Mitchell, ITV's head of programme strategy comms, said: "I'm delighted to say that Unwind with ITV is returning for another year.

"We originally commissioned Unwind to provide an accessible space for anybody to take time to relax and reflect, and so far we've managed to support over 8 million people.

"We have some great ideas for the new series and hope anybody who finds themselves awake, for whatever reason, will find them just as peaceful and calming."

The new series is being filmed by Rock Oyster Media, with bespoke music from BMG, with new filming locations including the Scilly Isles.
