Simon Cowell reportedly signs a new deal with ITV keeping him - and Britain's Got Talent - on air until 2025.

Simon Cowell has reportedly signed a new deal with ITV that will see Britain's Got Talent stay on air with him as head judge until at least 2025.

The broadcaster had already commissioned three more series of the talent show but according to The Mirror, the agreement has now been extended for a further 12 months.

Got Talent was forced off air last year due to coronavirus but will return for a new series this Spring, with auditions having started in London this weekend.

Cowell, meanwhile, has been scaling back his on-screen appearances over the last 18 months following a bike accident that left him with a broken back - although the new BGT deal will keep him on the show past his 65th birthday.

BGT has now been a staple of the ITV schedules for the last 15 years.
