ITV opens the search for contestants to take part in the new series of Big Brother in 2023.

ITV has officially launched the application process for Big Brother's return in 2023.

The seminal reality show is making a UK comeback after five years with a new six-week series on ITV2 and ITVX early next year.

Although ITV has yet to confirm when exactly the show will begin, a recent report suggested that it could be back as soon as March, following on immediately after the winter edition of Love Island, which will run for eight weeks from January.

Applications to become a contestant on Big Brother close on January 27, however, suggesting that the March date may be too soon and that April or May - leading in to the summer Love Island - could be more realistic.

ITV's casting call reads: "Big Brother is looking for the nation's most interesting, funny and entertaining characters who come from every corner of the country. The final cast of housemates will live under the watchful eye of Big Brother, and the nation, for up to six weeks with cameras capturing their every move."

Potential contestants can apply online via BigBrother.com.
