LeBron James finished with 51 points as his Los Angeles Lakers side beat his former club the Miami Heat 113-97.
James, who joined the Lakers from the Cavaliers in the close-season, passed the 50-point threshold late with a 32-foot shot for three.
It was the 13th time LBJ has passed 50 points in his career on a night which saw him add eight rebounds and three assists.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 19 for the Lakers and Kyle Kuzma 15 in the win.
The Orlando Magic won their seventh game in nine with a 131-117 victory over the New York Knicks, who are now winless in five.
Aaron Gordon had 31 – 20 in the first 12 minutes – while Nikola Vucevic came agonisingly close to a triple-double, finishing with figures of 28 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Kevin Durant had 26 points and Klay Thompson 25 for the Steph Curry and Draymond Green-less Warriors, with the Spurs holding off a late rally for the victory.
Elsewhere, the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Washington Wizards 119-109 and the Memphis Grizzlies saw off the Minnesota Timberwolves 100-87.
