Chris Paul added a double-double with 15 points and 11 assists, while Gerald Green matched a season-best 25 points in the Rockets' third straight win.
The Milwaukee Bucks recorded their 40th victory of the season – and their fifth in a row – with a 148-129 victory over the Washington Wizards.
The first team to reach the 40 mark, the Bucks achieved the feat thanks to six players recording double-digit scores, including Giannis Antetokounmpo with 43 points.

In Dallas, 19-year-old Luka Doncic became the youngest player to record three triple-doubles – taking the record from LeBron James – as the Mavericks beat the Charlotte Hornets.
Doncic, who recorded 19 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, was aided by Dorian Finney-Smith who got 15 points and 10 rebounds as the Mavs broke an 81-81 tie with eight minutes left on the clock to see out the win 99-93 at the American Airlines Centre.

Elsewhere, Donovan Mitchell scored 21 points to push the Utah Jazz to a 116-88 win over the Phoenix Suns, and the Golden State Warriors improved to 13 wins in 14 games with a 141-102 win over the San Antonio Spurs.
