Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd has reportedly agreed to buy Jay Z's share in the team.

Under NBA rules, the rapper is no longer allowed to own a stake in a team, as he runs an agency which represents athletes in the league.

ESPN has stated that Kidd has paid $500,000 (£320,287) for the stake, which represent one-sixth of a percent of the franchise.

Agents and players are prohibited from owning shares in teams.
