Tomas Berdych has withdrawn from this year's Wimbledon due to a back injury.

The Czech, who reached the semi-finals at last year's tournament, is expected to be out of action for several weeks, reports BBC Sport.

"I was very much looking forward to Wimbledon," Berdych wrote on Twitter.

"My attempts to get ready for the grass season were not successful."

Wimbledon will take place at the All England Club in London from July 2.
