Dan Evans to return from drugs ban at Glasgow Trophy

Great Britain's Dan Evans will return from his year-long drugs ban at the Glasgow Trophy this month.

Great Britain's Dan Evans will return from his one-year drugs ban at the Glasgow Trophy later this month.

The former world number 41, who tested positive for cocaine last year, has been handed wildcard entry to the Scottish tournament.

The Lawn Tennis Association gave Evans the green light to compete again after he passed the "agreed checks".

"I have learned a lot about myself in my time away from the game, a sport that I love very dearly," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

The qualifying draw for the Glasgow Trophy takes place on April 28.
