Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will meet in the semi-finals of the Indian Wells Masters after both came through their last-eight matches on Friday.

Novak Djokovic has recorded a straight-sets victory over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to progress through to the Indian Wells Masters semi-finals.

The world number one came through by a 7-6 7-6 scoreline to set up a meeting with Rafael Nadal, who continued a fine week in the United States with a win over Kei Nishikori.

The Spaniard lost his last hard-court meeting with Nishikori, but on Friday, he powered to a 6-4 6-3 success to set up a 48th clash with Djokovic.

In the women's draw, Serena Williams will meet Victoria Azarenka in the final after she recorded a 10th successive win over Agnieszka Radwanska.

Azarenka came through in three sets against Karolina Pliskova to leave her one victory away from a return to the top 10 in the WTA rankings.
