Kirsty Gallacher leaves Sky after 20 years

Sky Sports confirm that Kirsty Gallacher has stepped down after 20 years with the broadcaster.

Kirsty Gallacher has confirmed that she has left Sky Sports after 20 years with the broadcaster.

The 42-year-old joined the Sky setup in 1998 and has since been a regular fixture on Sky Sports News, striking up a presenting partnership with Jim White, and has also led Sky's golf coverage.

In a statement, Gallacher said: "I have had 20 wonderful years at Sky and will leave with the best memories. I am excited to start a new chapter."

A spokesperson for Sky added: "Kirsty has decided it is the right time to do something fresh and new and everyone at Sky will miss her greatly."

Gallacher's departure from Sky comes several months after the sudden departure of Natalie Sawyer after 18 years with the broadcaster.
