The Football Association has returned some of its allocation for England's opening Euro 2016 fixture against Russia after supply outstripped demand.
According to the Daily Mail, the FA was provided with 10,720 tickets by UEFA for the match at the 67,000-capacity Stade Velodrome on June 11 but only received applications for just over 10,000 tickets.
Only 6,080 tickets were available for England supporters for the standout tie with Wales at the 38,000-seater Stade Bollaert Delelis in Lens, while 6,720 were offered for the game with Slovakia at St Etienne's Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, which has a capacity of 42,000.
For the Wales game alone, there were thought to be at least four times as many applications as there were tickets available, leading to disappointment and anger from some fans as they learned their fate.
A further 42% of the ticket allocation per match is being distributed to football fans across Europe through UEFA's general ticketing scheme.
