Rory McIlroy says that he is aiming to improve after a sixth-place finish at the Turkish Airlines Open.

Rory McIlroy has said that he wants to improve after missing out on the Turkish Airlines Open title.

The 26-year-old finished in a tie for sixth place as Frenchman Victor Dubuisson took the title.

"It was not the finish I wanted but I feel like I've seen good enough signs this week to suggest I can play well the next couple," McIlroy told BBC Sport.

"I felt like I hit some good putts that didn't go in but I made a couple of bad strokes on the back nine.

"That's still a work in progress and I need to keep trying to improve on that part and keep going forward."

The world number three will play in the WGC-HSBC Champions tournament in Shanghai next week.
