Lewis Hamilton clinches pole position for Russian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton takes pole ahead of his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg for tomorrow's Russian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton has secured pole position for tomorrow's Russian Grand Prix after setting the fastest lap time in qualifying this afternoon.

The World Championship leader came out on top in the final two practice sessions and then the first two knockout stages of qualifying.

In the third lap of qualifying he survived a slip, before going on to set a time of 1:38.513 and edge out his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg.
