Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton expects Ferrari to challenge for victory at the Italian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton has said that he is expecting a stronger challenge from Ferrari during Sunday's Italian Grand Prix.

The world champion continued his dominance of qualifying this season, racking up another pole position at Monza.

However, he is joined on the front row by Kimi Raikkonen and the Briton is adamant that the Scuderia can compete for race victory.

Hamilton is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "They've definitely made a step with the engine for qualifying.

"It's great to see them giving us a bigger run for our money. I'm expecting [a close challenge in the race] but the engineers I don't believe are."

Raikkonen's teammate Sebastian Vettel starts from third on the grid, while Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg is fourth after having mechanical issues on Saturday.
