The World Cup is the biggest shop window on the planet - like a catwalk for footballers desperate to strut their stuff and earn a big move.
For some, just like James Rodriguez four years ago, it can catapult a player to stardom, earning a huge move to the likes of Real Madrid. For others, it's the chance to push a move away from their current club and start afresh ahead of the new season.
There are a number of players looking to do the latter, with some serious talent using Russia 2018 as a shop window...
Antoine Griezmann
The French superstar is going to be a key man this summer and alongside the likes of Paul Pogba, N'Golo Kante and Kylian Mbappe will be striving to lift the World Cup, 20 years on from the nation's last success.
Griezmann is a leading contender for the Golden Boot, and would be well worth a free bet World Cup 2018 offer, particularly after finishing the leading man at Euro 2016.
He is looking to move on from Atletico Madrid this summer, with Barcelona leading the way, but don't be surprised if the likes of Manchester United re-address their interest if he has a good start to the summer.
Neymar
Neymar is already looking to move on from PSG after only one season and it is thought that Real Madrid are thinking about lining up a world-record offer. A big tournament for the Brazil man would make that even more likely.
Madrid are perhaps in need of a Ronaldo replacement, with the Portuguese legend now aged 33, and Neymar seems the perfect, Galactico-like fit.
Toby Alderweireld
Manchester United have recently issued a deadline on Toby Alderweireld, with Jose Mourinho determined to get the Spurs man before the World Cup.
The fear is that if the deal isn't wrapped up a number of other clubs may come in for him, given the fact Belgium are favoured to go far this summer. Alderweireld has played little football for club this season, refusing to sign a contract extension. Mauricio Pochettino is resigned to the fact he's losing his star defender. The question is, will it be done before June 14?
James Rodriguez
James Rodriguez has been out on loan from Real Madrid this season and has had a successful one at Bayern. The Colombian is thought to want to join the German champions on a permanent deal, but it's a question of whether they can work out a transfer fee.
He will want to be playing regular football though, so a move away from the Bernabeu seems inevitable. Just as he was four years ago, James Rodriguez will be in the shop window come the South American's first game against Japan on June 19.
