Wolfsburg reveal that defender Sebastian Jung damaged his cruciate ligament during the 3-2 Champions League win over Gent.

Wolfsburg have confirmed that Sebastian Jung will miss the remainder of the season and the beginning of 2016-17 with a cruciate knee ligament injury.

The right-back sustained the complaint during last night's 3-2 win over Gent in the Champions League.

"I'd planned a lot for the second half of the season and now must digest the shock that I cannot help the team achieve our goals," he told the club's official website.

Jung, 25, has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season.
