David Moyes is reportedly set to sign a new three-year contract at West Ham United, after a successful campaign with the Hammers, who could qualify for the Europa League.

David Moyes is reportedly set to sign a new three-year contract with West Ham United, after taking the club from a relegation battle to European hopefuls.

The Scotsman's current deal with the Hammers is due to expire at the end of this season but he has expressed his desire to continue with West Ham and aim for European football with the East London club.

West Ham's Champions League dream for next season is over as they are now four points behind Liverpool in fourth, but they have a chance of securing Europa League football, needing just one point from their final game against Southampton.

Moyes is disappointed his side have slipped out of the top four but believes that the club can still achieve success in the future, telling reporters: "Our physical stats are up, our football has improved no end. I can only see it going in one direction — but the results have not quite come.

"It could be down to a couple of injuries but it could be that we've just not taken the opportunities. I can't complain — good players and good professionals make your job easier. I don't know enough about whether it has been here always but it is here now. There is a real good spirit. I think we can progress again. Everything is in place."

When asked about his future, Moyes added: "We're not there yet and I'll probably wait for these games then see if we can tie it up."

The 58-year-old initially arrived at West Ham in November 2017, keeping the club in the division before returning for a second stint in 2019.
