Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde labels Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane a "decisive player" ahead of Wednesday's European tie between the two sides.

Ernesto Valverde has talked up the quality of Harry Kane and admits that Barcelona must keep the "decisive" striker quiet if they are to earn victory against Tottenham Hotspur.

Barca head to Wembley Stadium on Wednesday evening for the second of their Champions League Group B outings, aiming to make it two wins from two after brushing aside Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven two weeks ago.

Valverde acknowledges that his side may not have things all their own way in the English capital, though, as Kane appear to have recaptured his sharpness following a slow start to the 2018-19 campaign.

"We know he's a decisive player," he told reporters at this pre-match press conference. "We cannot compare last year and this year, what we know is his quality. We expect his best on Wednesday and we must try to stop him."

Kane scored twice in Tottenham's 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town at the weekend to take his goals tally to five in eight matches this term.
